Give me some credit

Shocker of shocks, I planned a camping trip this weekend. Those who know me may not believe it could be true. But, Erik was adament about keeping his birthday simple, so I decided to suprise him by going on a family campout. Desired reaction was acheived - he was suprised and thrilled. I recruited my friend and experienced camper, Ali for help and invited her family to join us. We were so excited because we knew our boys would have so much fun. We had a campground picked; it met my requirements being only 30 minutes away and having restroom facilities. Plus, there was a pumpkin patch nearby that we planned on going to the next day. So, of course, after all our careful planning and considering Georgia is still in a drought, why wouldn't it rain all the day we planned to go?? Well, we made the best of it and got together for hotdogs and smores in the fireplace. I'm not really complaining - it actually worked out pretty well for me. I still get credit for being willing to go and for planning it, but I didn't actually have to go :o) Maybe if we get a warm November weekend, we'll try it again.
