Shovels and Wheelbarrows

We have been doing a lot of yardwork lately, and Gabe has been all the happier for it. Playing outside with mom and dad AND getting to dig in the dirt -- what more could a boy want? Erik got him his own tool set and I taught him a song about digging in the garden. Also, we're getting a fence (read: corral) installed this week. Gabe and I went out to check the progress, and he immediately made friends with one of the workers. He got his shovel and didn't hesitate to dig in and get to work. He made pleasant conversation about trucks and the soccer ball in the neighbor's yard. Next time we'll just hitch him to the plow and save ourselves some money :o)

Having a fenced in yard is probably my favorite part of the new house. Haley and our dog could live out there. Gabe will love it!!
Do you have any tips on gardening?? Your stuff turned out so well last year! Any tips?

Good job, way to teach the kid a good work ethic. Isn't this weather great!
