Gabe requested a Ninja birthday. We've never really done a "friend" party, so this was a fun experiment. They learned to make ninja masks out of a shirt, played pin the sword on the ninja,

went on a ninja scavenger hunt, ate "ninja food" (soy chicken) with chopsticks,

ate ninja cake

and survived an evil balloon ninja attack and sword battle. Let's just say he was in little boy heaven. Or should I say big boy - he's six!

Favorite part of school: free choice
Favorite pastime: legos with a capital L, especially ninjago. Also loves nerf guns. Also loves cleaning up (you're welcome, future wife).
Dislikes: not being able to wear shorts 24/7, hotdogs apparently, waking up early for school (but if it's a weekend he's up before all of us), haircuts.
