Thanks to Erik's company, and to Erik for being such a hard worker, and to Sara for being an awesome aunt/babysitter, we got to spend a free weekend in Las Vegas.

One of our favorite highlights (and probably the coolest thing on the Strip) was the fountains at the Bellagio. No matter how many times you've seen them, it's never any less amazing.

We stayed at the Paris, which meant there were plenty of crepes and pastries through out our stay. Other fun things we did: Erik gave a fantastic speech at the awards dinner, we slept in AND took naps, we went to an afternoon showing of Salt, we saw Jerry Seinfeld (his show), we saw Matthew Perry and Brad Garrett and Pete Rose (in passing), we went to Mystere (Cirque), we sat by the pool and read magazines, we took the escalator at the airport (as opposed to the elevator, which you have to do with strollers), we shopped, we tried a bacon chocolate bar, we ate lots of yummy food and we pretty much did whatever whenever with no schedule required.
Another highlight: meeting Optimus Prime. We just knew Gabe would be so excited when we told him (the Trasformers phase is still in full swing at our house). Isn't it funny how, as a parent, you think in terms of what your kids would think? ("Gabe would get a kick out of this! I wish Grace could see this!") It's just as fun as seeing something you yourself think is cool.
There were prizes all around when we got home. Gabe had to wait until family home evening after dinner to get his suprise. It was pure torture for him, but worth the wait.
