Blessed
I can't tell you how grateful I am to have so much support available for people with Celiac! The U of Chicago has a Celiac Disease Center
and sent us a huge care package to help us navigate the gluten-free diet. I couldn't believe all the sample and information - the box weighed 12 pounds! They even put in a stuffed animal. It brings tears to my eyes. We'll be walking through the grocery store and every time I see something gluten-free my eyes start glistening. I'm just so grateful to have options for him! Thank you, manufacterers, for making these products!
Speaking of support,
I am incredibly grateful to my mom. She has gone miles above and beyond to help us. She's done tons of research, found cool recipes, ordered food to have around when we visit. She even wrote a book just for Gabe. It is a darling story about "Cecil Celiac" and "Glomer Gluten." It's filled with pictures of Gabe and teaches him about what's going on. It has been huge in helping him understand! He has even been asking me, "Mom, does this food have Glomer Gluten in it?" Mom, this means so, so much to us. I cry every time I think about it! You are the best Yaya. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

How neat!!! What a cool package to get! I bet that is a huge help... I clicked to enlarge this pic to see what products there were, and oh my gosh, there are some that I would've never thought! Hurray for that!! And how sweet about that book :o) I love that our mom is so thoughtful! I love you GABE THE BABE!!! You are a STUD MUFFIN!!
I have wondered how you are doing. We ate some corn chips from Costco last week and I was happy to notice the bag said they were gluten free. Keep us posted on how Gabe is doing.
oh, make me cry now! I'm glad to see that he likes the book. It was fun to make. It's amazing how much Glomer Gluten is really in !
That is the cutest idea. What a great thing to help him visualize what is going on his body. Yeah for Grandmas. Your little girl is so cute. You sure make pretty babies.

Oh, Cami! That's makes me feel all emotional and it's not even my child. That is sweet of them to send you all that stuff and what a wonderful mother you have! I'm glad that you have this support, I can't imagine what it would be like to have to change everything you eat and what you have in your home. You are really such a strong woman and I'm so blessed to be your friend! Love ya!
