Good Times

So, I'm getting Gabe's pajamas on last night, and he's being silly. I told him "I love you," and his response was (with a laugh) "I don't love you!" I pretended to be sad, which was the wrong move. My son is not motivated by guilt, apparently. It only made him pouty and stubborn. He refused to take it back until Erik said he wouldn't tell him a story unless he said "I love you, mom." If I wasn't so emotional, maybe I wouldn't have cried! I didn't expect to hear something like that until he is a teenager :o)

Elle's done that before. Like you, I pretended to cry.....which made her laugh even more....So I told her that labored for hours and gave birth to her so she needs to show me some respect. That started a whole new conversation.

This made me laugh, because apparently I have a two and a half year old teenager too! I asked Jonas if he wanted to go to the mall and he said, "Yeah. Go change mom." (I was still in my pajamas). He can be so bossy sometimes:-)
