Big Boy Bed

When Gabe started climbing up on the edge of his crib and jumping off to me, we figured it was time for a big boy bed. He was SO excited about it all day, and thrilled when we set it up. Going to sleep was a different story! The first night didn't go too smoothly, but the next day we put a lock on the door, and we all slept much better. It may sound cruel, but as Erik likes to put it, it's really just an extension of his crib! And, from what I hear, we're not the only ones who have used a lock to help with the transition. Do I sound like I'm trying to justify it? :o) Either way, 5 days into it, he seems to have adjusted just fine.
