What I've been up to
My very talented sister, Laci took this cute family picture at our reunion this summer. I, being too cheap to get it framed professionally, found a frame without a mat and learned (and I mean learned more than once) how to cut my own mat.
Next, I decided to recover some pillows on our couches upstairs. I've had my eye on this fabric for quite a while, and it finally went on sale. I think I'll make a table runner with what's left, but that's a project for later.
Again, my (multi)talented sister Laci helped with this one. She's been coaching me on cutting the boys' hair and I finally got enough confidence that I asked her to teach me how to do the faux hawk. It doesn't look bad, especially on such a cute face :o)

How fun!!!! First of all, can I just say how impressed I am with the FRAME??? WOW. That looks so great!! I love how it all turned out!!! And the pillows.. are you kidding me???? SO FUN!!!!! I adore them!!! And Gabe.. what can I even BEGIN to say there???? I LOVE IT!!! What a stud muffin!!!! He is totally workin' it too. GOOD JOB CAM!!!!
