Looks Familiar

This is a familiar scene. Remember this? This time was much less stressful, though. Gabe had tubes put in his ears. Most kids get this procedure to stop ear infections. Gabe needed it to improve his hearing. Let's hope it works! Above: he thought the hospital socks were cool. And yes, it was early, so please excuse Erik's yawn :)

Here he is all done. He was very brave! He didn't give a backward glance when the nurse wheeled him away in a wagon by himself. I think it was better for all of us that I couldn't go with him. The doctor said he was cooperative and the best patient of the day (even thought it was only 8:30 in the morning). ;) He was done in 10 minutes. He came back perky, eating a purple popsicle and asking for his new Transformer (his reward for doing what the doctor asked).

As smoothly as it went, that doesn't mean I wasn't full of relief and gratitude when it was over :o)
