Conference Weekend
What better way to spend conference weekend than heeding the counsel to build food storage? Erik is our resident King of Canning. Our pantry is stocked with many a soup and sauce. The latest project: spaghetti sauce. And, notice the 20-quart roaster oven is full to the brim. Don't worry, that's only half of it. Yes folks, that's 40 quarts of spaghetti sauce. Cannons don't do single recipes.
You won't hear me complaining, though, when all I have to do is get a jar off the shelf for dinner (for the next few years...)!
We also had the Mendenhalls over for one of the sessions. Since their new addition, Kimball, made the scene a few weeks ago, our time with them has been scarce (what, we only get to see you once this week?! :)). Needless to say, we were thrilled to have them over for a few hours!

I just thought it was a Douglas thing that you can't make a single batch but it is good to know that it is a Cannon thing. Douglas and I made 5 punds of pork last week and we have been eating it for pretty much every meal since. Next time I think he will let me freeze some of it :)
Looks yummy! I always have a project for conference weekend, but this is a great one!
nOW Dad wants to grow a backyard full of tomatoes as follow your example! great!
