Mom! Mom! Mom!

Ok, I admit, I'm not a perfect mom. Lately Gabe is one constant stream of chatter and, at times, I just tune him out. I literally had a headache from it yesterday. I throw in a few "mm hmms" and "cools" so he doesn't feel totally neglected, but for all I know I could be saying yes to him moving to Hawaii and telling him boogers are cool. So, the other day I was on the computer and he was mid chatter. I wasn't paying attention. He said "Mom, I drew J H L!" "Mmm hmm." When I finally checked back in, I looked over only to find that he really did write those letters. I had no idea he knew what he was doing! So, we made quite a big deal out of it to make up for my previous faked interest (and resulting guilt). Please tell me I'm not the only one who has these days!
