Recently, I was bitten several times by the project bug. Erik says I have my hands in too many pots! But, here are a few of my finished (hooray!!!) projects. This was a chair I found at a yard sale and decided to learn how to re-cover. I am absolutely kicking myself for not taking a "before" picture! Try to imagine a dirty, gross burgandy velvet chair with a caved-in seat. That's what I was working with. But, the frame was good, and with a little (or a lot!) of TLC and a few toss pillows, it turned out ok.
This project was quite a bit easier than the chair. My friend, Ali, helped me to make some runners for my kitchen table. They add a nice touch, I think.
This past weekend, we took a road trip to Canton, Mississippi for a family reunion. My mom's side is from there. It was a lot of fun to see and meet our relatives, hear fun stories and see the town. Here are 5 generations of us in front of the property where my grandma was born (L to R: Aunt Gayle, Great-Grandma Exie, Grandma Exie, Mom, me and Gabe)
Two tired boys - 6 hours on the road, plus some hot and muggy weather would make anyone sleepy!

Cami, your projects look so great. Soon I will be posting my latest project. Matt is in New York right now finding us a place to live. It looks like we have found a few good places in Queens. Anyway, keep up the good work on your projects, doesn't it feel good to have that done?
Good Job!
