On Gabe's birthday (Friday), we had a little celebration at home. Erik's dad was in town for business, so he got to join in. We also had our "Georgia Family" - the Mendenhall's - over for pizza and cake and icecream. Here, Gabe is eyeing his birthday cake like he can't wait to dive in!
But, when he actually did dive in, he was not a happy camper! At first, he just put a finger in the frosting and promptly tried to wipe it off. So, Erik plunged both of Gabe's hands in the middle of the cake to help him get started. Oh, the tears that followed were many! He did not like being messy one bit! I don't think the fact that he missed his afternoon nap helped the situation :o)
Hey, it's my party and I'll cry if I want to! Good thing his buddy, Porter, was there for moral support.
